Many friends ask one question. If the protective film has been applied on the stainless steel for too
long time, how to remove it. Protective film will lose its toughness after application for a long time.
So when you try to peel it off, it will be torn. Is there a method to remove the film completely? As
protective film leader, Isaac has some recommendations.
When meet similar situation as above, there is no other way. Only can peel the film bit by bit. The
adherend surface may look ugly after all film is removed. You need to sprinkle some talc powder
on the surface and then wipe up with a rag. Normal protective film doesn’t resist high temperature.
When under high temperature, the adhesive will lose its adhesion. Hot compress can be applied
to protective film for several minutes, for example 50-70℃. Then it will become easy to remove the
film together with the adhesive. You can also use hair drier to blow hot the protective film. This
method has been recognized and approved by many friends.
In a word, no matter what kind of protective films, such as PP/PET/PE protective film or mobile
phone electrostatic protective film, they should be removed on time. If overtime, the protective
film should be peeled slowly and carefully, in order to avoid damages.
