Normally protective film should be removed after application for a certain time.
1, If exposed in the sun, protective film without UV resistance should be removed within three months
after film is applied.
2, If exposed in the sun, protective film with UV resistance should be removed within 6-12 months after
film is applied. It depends on the content of ingredients.
3, Protective film with water-based acrylic adhesive should be used in dry environment. Because water-based acrylic adhesive is water soluble. If the environment is too moist, the glue quality is not stable.
4, Protective film with solvent-base acrylic adhesive is not eco-friendly. For a healthy global environment,
normally it is recommended.
5, Protective film with natural rubber adhesive is very expensive. Even though, the film should be removed
within its service life. Otherwise, residue is still a problem. And if the adhesion is much stronger than
required, it is also easy to leave residue.
No matter what adhesive is used, please choose the protective film with suitable adhesion strength and
suitable adhesive glues. And do apply and remove within service life to avoid residue problem.
