1, Matching coating die
Suitable for adhesive viscosity: 50-1000mPa.s
Coating thickness range: wet glue 2-60 g/square
The characteristics of this coating die: the coating precision is acceptable, the operation is simple, and the different width specifications of the coated substrate are easy to switch quickly. The amount of glue is easily changed by the viscosity of the adhesive, and the flatness of the coated substrate is required to be high. If the substrate is slightly uneven, the partial leakage of the glue is likely to occur.

2, Wire bar coating
According to the application and needs, as well as the viscosity and solids content of the different glues and coatings, add a light bar or wire bar device to the matching coating die device for improving and extending. (The light bar is suitable for low weight coating, and the wire bar is suitable for high weight coating with high solid content and low viscosity glue)

3, Scarping coating
The upper one is a comma scraper, and the substrate passes between the comma scraper and the support roller (plate). The gap between comma scraper and the support roller is used to adjust the thickness of the glue. The comma scraper is currently the most used in the industry. The comma scraper is a round roll and its surface is machined into a cutting edge along the busbar, resembling a comma. The “comma roller” just gives a smoother coating instead of a flat blade coating.
Suitable adhesive viscosity: 1000-300000mPa.s
Coating thickness range: wet glue > 20 g/square
The characteristics of this coating die: Coating accuracy is not high. The operation is simple. The coated substrates are release paper, PET, BOPP, PE and other materials. Suitable for coating with relatively large amount of wet glue.
Coating defects: 1cm at both ends of the substrate will be thicker, and there will be glue lines if there is dirty in the glue. Uneven coating due to the difference in thickness of the substrate.
Application: sponge, foam, cloth, textured paper, labels, photo inkjet coils and other adhesive production.

4, Comma scraping type reverse coating die
Suitable adhesive viscosity: 1000-30000mPa.s
Coating thickness range: wet glue 10-300 g/square
The characteristics of this coating die: the coating precision is better than the above scraping coating die. The glue quantity control is controlled by the comma scraper, and the glue gap can be automatically controlled at present. The operation is simple. The coated substrates are PET, BOPP, PE and other materials. Suitable for coatings with high adhesive viscosity and high control precision, so as to avoid uneven coating due to the direct passage of the substrate (the uneven thickness of the substrate will affect the uniformity of the sizing).

5, Lip type coating die
Suitable adhesive viscosity: 50-50000mPa.s
Coating thickness range: wet glue > 15 g/square
Characteristics of this coating die: Since the adhesive is extruded out of the mold, it is free of solvent volatilization. Suitable for coating on the surface of irregular substrates, and is suitable for coating adhesives with low-boiling point and a large amount of solvent evaporation. The viscosity range is also wide. The slot-die coating precision on the market can even be controlled to 1 micron dry glue.
Application: coating of solvent-based protective film such as PET and BOPP, backing or coating of cloth base and paper.

6, Anilox roller (gravure) coating die: the bottom is a glue tank, above the tank is an anilox roller, the top one is a flexible rubber press roller. Or according to the lower coating amount (procesion), it is required to add a back pressure roller on the rubber roller.

Suitable for adhesive viscosity: 50-1000mPa.s
Coating thickness range: wet glue 2-60 g/square
The characteristics of this coating die: high coating precision. Suitable for coating low-gluing substrate. 100% can be glued. The disadvantage is that it is inconvenient to replace the substrate with different width specifications. Must stop the machine and change the rubber roller.
Application: coating of solvent-based protective film such as polyethylene and polypropylene, and coating the release film material with silicon. Monochrome printing.

7, Reverse dimple (anilox) coating: Reverse dimple coating with high precision. Control is better than the above gravure anilox roller, only low weight coating.

Suitable for adhesive viscosity: 1-1000mPa.s
Coating thickness range: wet glue 1-50um
Characteristics of this coating die: The micro gravure coating is a kind of gravure coating. It is reverse and anastomotic coating. The rotating direction of the gravure roller is opposite to the traveling direction of the base. And the diameter of the gravure roller is much smaller, at 20 to 50 mm. It is produced according to the smooth, uniform, thin-layer coating process requirement. Since the amount of liquid bridge entering and leaving the coating zone is small, it is relatively stable, which is advantageous for improving the quality of transfer coating.
Disadvantages: This is the coating method used during our work. Subject to the diameter of the anilox roller, the guide rollers cannot move, and the exit angle (wrapped angle) cannot be adjusted, so this coating method cannot be applied to a thick substrate.

Each factory has customized and improved the coating die according to its own process.
