ethylene (CH2 = CH2). The performance of polyethylene depends on its polymerization method. 

Under medium pressure (15-30 atm) and catalyzed with organic compounds,  the product of 

Ziegler-Natta polymerization is high density polyethylene (HDPE). Polyethylene molecules 

polymerized under this condition are linear and the molecular chain is very long, with molecular 

weight of up to hundreds of thousands. If under high pressure (100-300MPa) and high temperature 

(190-210C), catalyzed with superoxide, the product of free radical polymerization is the low density 

polyethylene (LDPE), which is with branched structure. If you want to know whether your PE products

and then judge and distinguish, for example, whether the PE products can be recycled or not, 

whether they are degradable or not, whether they harm people’s health or not, whether they pollute
