Recently, when choosing PE protective film, some clients who are new in
this industry may ask questions. There are many kinds of PE protective
films. In addition to differences in thickness and viscosity, when new
clients confront with LDPE, HDPE and LLDPE, they are confused what
are the differences between LDPE, HDPE and LLDPE?
First, LDPE, HDPE and LLDPE are all raw materials of PE protective film.
They are three common PE materials.
LDPE, also known as low-density PE, is widely used in packing bags
industry. Unprinted LDPE bags is with very good transparency, which
is significantly different from HDPE.
HDPE is also known as high-density PE. Because of the high density,
the transparency of HDPE is a little lower than the other two.
LLDPE is called a linear low density PE. Stretch film is made of LLDPE.
Also LLDPE is often mixed with above two kinds for production.
Of course, this is only theoretical knowledge. To understand the
differences between these three PE, customers and new entrants
should better find a factory and hand touch the material, feel the
differences between the three in order to gain experience.
